763 violators held in Mohali till April 29

MOHALI: Ensuring that law and order is maintained in the district, the Mohali police is on its toes to trace out anyone who steps out of the house. If one goes by the data provided by the police officials , since the curfew has been imposed they have arrested 763 violators till April 29.
Sources in the police department have also revealed that cops deployed at Zirakpur as well as Kharar had to be extra vigilant as people there were still not adhering to curfew.“People are using the medium of social media to send us complaints. We have also received several calls regarding people roaming around in these areas,” said a cop posted at Zirakpur police station.
According to the officials, till April 29 a total of 553 FIRs had been registered against the violators in the entire district.
